Chaplaincy support services
A Chaplaincy service is available to the Silkstone State School community 2 days per week. This service is made available through the support of NSCSWP and community funds. This service provides pastoral care and spiritual support to students and families. Our school chaplain is also actively involved in school activities and is an integral part of our Student Support Services team aimed at supporting students and families. Breakfast club and lunch time programs, including a games room to support students in the junior school, are examples of aspects of the service provided. Our Chaplaincy service also provides our school with a link to local community churches and support groups. Consent is given by parents for students to voluntarily access the chaplaincy service.
Our Chaplain, Rebecca Hewett, can be contact on Monday and Tuesday here at the school or via email anytime on rebecca.hewett@suchaplaincy.org.au
