Kambu will present a number of sessions to support our wider indigenous communities. An invitation is offered to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children who are eligible for Prep in 2024, and their family, to a weekly Play Program.
The Transition Team from Kambu Children and family Centre will facilitate session where jarjums and their parents and carers can explore learning through play in the school environment to help build their confidence to start school next year.
It is hoped that through attending these sessions, children will become more comfortable and confident in entering the school gates, walking to differen locatons around the school and building skills to engage with other children and learning activities.
There is no expectation that those in attendance attend Prep at Silkstone, we are offering this inviation across Ipswich!
